GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – Friday, Guntersville City Schools said a student at an elementary school tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a Facebook post, the student attends Cherokee Elementary and was last at school on August 25.
Three close contact students were sent home and will quarantine for 14 days.
School officials said all other parents in the class were notified of the positive test and to watch for symptoms.
